Stronger Together, Resilient Forever - Murwillumbah CORE, helping people prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
Murwillumbah CORE
Murwillumbah CORE was born from the 2022 floods, when our community came together to coordinate volunteers, donations, and critical support.
Run by local volunteers, we’re committed to building a stronger, more resilient Murwillumbah—helping people prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
Now, we’re focused on preparedness and resilience. With the help of grants, we’re equipping our community with essential tools, better coordination, and stronger support networks—ensuring we’re ready for whatever comes next
Current Project: Street Coordinator Program
Neighbours Helping Neighbours in Times of Disaster
When disaster strikes, it’s neighbours who show up first.
That’s why Murwillumbah CORE is creating the Street Coordinator Program — a network of locals ready to step up, connect, and support their street in times of crisis.
We’ll provide training, equipment, and ongoing support — all you need is community spirit.

M|CORE BBQ Trailer – Connecting with Community
With support from the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal and Anglicare North Coast, M|CORE has been able to secure a BBQ trailer for our community. This is an invaluable resource — not only for flood response and recovery, but also for fundraising and local events.
You’ll see our bright orange BBQ out and about in Murwillumbah, or even meet our volunteers door knocking in your street. It’s more than just a BBQ — it’s a way to connect, build trust, and share what M|CORE is doing.
👉 Come say hello, grab a sausage, and ask us how you can help — because together, we’re stronger.
Support Resilience – Donate Today
Your donation helps strengthen our community by funding essential programs, equipment, and services that support individuals and families in times of need.
Every contribution—big or small—makes a real difference in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Murwillumbah.
